For the record, "papa" does everything he can to not be any trouble. But we have long winters, so "cabin fever" can definitely factor in.

As fans of your site and reviews, the HarperCollins Children's Books publicity team would love to get direct contact information and work with you in the future. Can you confirm what types of books you are interested in reviewing so that we can send you ones that are suited for your site?

“I always have great fun putting myself in Nancy's fancy shoes when I receive each of Jane O'Connor's manuscripts for a Fancy Nancy book. Our latest collaboration is no different

Fancy Nancy: Poet Extraordinaire comes out March 2nd. Nancy's love of fancy, beautiful language makes her just the right guide for young children to explore and have fun with poetry.

"When I first got the story, I started to imagine what kind of dress-up Nancy would pull together to wear for writing poetry -- something Shakespearian perhaps, or reaching back even further to Homer? Then came the footwear! Ever crafty, Nancy could easily assemble her version of ancient footwear with a pair of flip flops and some ribbon. Voila! The cover illustration started to take shape in my minds

Dear Ramona,
I love you and your daughter is obviously the cutest four year old girl in the world, but when are you going to mention your most bestest friend ever? I mean, Frankie's funny and smart and all- but what about me? For the first time in my life I'm typing the words- "E-mail me"! (Yes, I badgered and whined and promised unmentionable acts until Coray gave in and I'm using my very own computer.)

Hi, Ramona, Merry Christmas. Marya and I did two days of annual shopping last weekend. She told me about your site. Your daughter is very cute. It is good you are recording all these times. I am doing a Mother/Daughter book for Marya for Christmas and it is amazing what I do not remember!! Frustrating. Some of it has to do with my childhood and my relationship with my mother. That is where it really gets dim in the memory banks. Enjoyed your book reviews also. Have you read any Alexander McCall Smith? Different but interesting. Good "talking" to you. Have a wonderful holiday season. Irbi Nelson

You are an inspiration to others on how to care for our parents/grandparents. Nothing is perfect, you are doing your best and that is all anyone can do. I am glad you see the beauty in Frankie and your grandpas relationship, not many kids get that chance. Love you, jen

I'm going to do this! I got the book from Amazon, but I'm currently embroiled in NaNoWriMo, so it will be December before I really get started. I'm looking forward to it!
